New firmware version 1.0.2: Preparation for the merge with Freifunk Helgoland

Since the weekend, the stable firmware version 1.0.2 for Freifunk Pinneberg has been rolling out. This version serves as preparation for a merge with the Freifunk network on Helgoland. You can now read the detailed version changes in the changelog on our website.

A special feature of version 1.0.2 is the ability to choose between Helgoland and Pinneberg. For Helgoland, there is a special version 1.0.0 that will automatically perform the migration to the Pinneberg infrastructure on Friday, August 30, 2024, at 20:00. Subsequently, the Helgoland nodes will also receive the update to the Pinneberg version 1.0.2.

We are currently working on finding a way to automatically roll out version 1.0.0 for Helgoland. For manual installation, version 1.0.0 is already available for download on the Helgoland website.
